Summary

[edit]

The climb of a lifetime. A year after finishing college, 3 months after passing the Board exam, we climbed Mount Dulang Dulang, (2938meters ASL) in the Kitanglad Range, Bukidnon. This is the second highest mountain peak in the Philippines. We owe this "Great Climb" to our late friend, experienced guide, mountain explorer ERWIN HENSON (Yogadz) standing behind the Royal True Orange sign. That's me in front holding on to a moss covered tree. This photo was taken somewhere close to what is now called Manny's Garden, am sure it has a different name back then. The mountain is saturated with dense rainforest, flora and fauna differs as per elevation. The trail we took if am not mistaken was established by the XU AMS (Xavier University - Ateneo Mountaineering Society). It took us two days to ascend from our jump off point at Impasug-ong and another day to descend which took us to another Barangay.
