Billy Connolly in Sydney, Australia for Brave Red Carpet Event
Comic genius and actor Billy Connolly is in town and he plays a large hairy Scotsman in Disney Pixar latest release Brave.
Rain didn't stop fans and media lining up the red carpet at George Street's Event Cinemas to meet the 69-year-old comedian, a regular visitor to our shores.
Connolly shares his voice to a 10th Century King named Fergus in the new Disney/Pixar collaboration, about a rebellious, flame-haired princess (Kally Macdonald) who rails against her intended fate - to unexpected result.
Sydney Film Festival director Nashen Moodley described Brave, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, as "a wonderfully feminist story about a young princess who defies the rules to find her own bravery and do something incredible."
