Description
  • English: Schematic diagram of Marcel Duchamp's Fountain, showing the simple transformation from the upright position of intended use (outlined in light gray transparency in the background), to the position chosen by Duchamp, rotated clockwise 90° (foreground object). The axis about which Fountain rotates is, to a close approximation, centrally located on the underside of the object, close to the line-of-sight.
