This text image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Manichaean characters.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Glyphs are mostly taken from a page out of Alphabete und Schriftzeichen, or were created by adding extra pointing to the originals. (Original author and publication details of the book are unknown.) I believe the glyphs themselves are not copyrightable, per {{PD-text}} or {{PD-ancient-script}}.

Transliterations have been tweaked, based on the usage of several authors in the field. (Details on talk page.) Character names are shortened forms of those used in the Unicode Standard (e.g. "khaph" from "MANICHAEAN LETTER KHAPH", rather than "kaph with two dots".)

This is intentionally a simplified view. I have selected only one representative form for each letter, preferring the isolate where possible. Ligatures čy and čn are not included. For a more thorough treatment, please see the original linked above. Also see other documents discussed in Talk.

Table arranged using a simple paint program. The purpose is to give readers a general idea of the glyph forms, for those who can't render the corresponding Unicode characters.
