Source	Own work, data taken from: 1951 (not included on file): Demography of immigrants and minority groups in the United Kingdom, Page 122, gives a figure of less than 100,000 for New Commonwealth and Pakistan born people (This does not distinguish for ethnic group and a large degree of NCWP born people would have been ethnically British). 1961: Immigrants in London: Trends in distribution and concentration 1961–71, Page 145. 1971: The Distribution and Diffusion of the Coloured Population in England and Wales, 1961-71, Page 519, Table 1. Demography of immigrants and minority groups in the United Kingdom, Page 120. 1981 (and 1991): Ethnicity in the 1991 census: Vol 3 - Social geography and ethnicity in Britain (which estimates all detailed 1991 ethnicites backwards to 1981 and accounts for 1991 undercounting), Appendix 2.1. This was changed from a slightly different figure in December 2024 of 85.6% White which utilised figures from the 1981 census 'New Commonwealth country of birth to head of house applied to those in present residence', the common estimation method for the non-White population. This figure was used in A geographical perspective on the 1981 urban riots in England, Page 402; Ethnic minorities in Britain: statistical information on the pattern of settlement, Page 3; Table 3. NOMIS, 1991 census ONS, 2001 census ONS, 2011 census ONS, 2021 census
