English: Surviving facade of the former Cock & Hoop public house, corner of Artillery Lane and Gun Street, Spitalfields, London; preserved as part of Lilian Knowles House (student accommodation for the London School of Economics). The preserved facade is not incorporated into the new building but stands in front of it, attached by pins; and the floor levels and fenestration are completely unrelated to one another. |
