DescriptionLife expectancy in Russian subject -Crimea.png
English: Life expectancy for Crimea is calculated as the average value of life expectancy in the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol, taking into account the population in these subjects of Russia in the middle of the corresponding years, according to data of Rosstat.
Rosstat provides in the public domain data on number of the population in the subjects on average, for urban and rural areas, but does not provide data on number of males and females. Therefore, the life expectancy of males and females in Crimea on average was calculated based on the assumption that their proportions in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are the same. This is not strictly true, but the difference is insignificant and not noticeable on the chart visually.
