Summary
[edit]Description |
Landres - 1916; a view of a street in Landres, disued & with damaged buildings; the extent of the damage becoming more apparent the longer & more carefully one looks... with a relatively undamaged church partly-visible beyond the T-shaped intersection at the end of the laneway. In the present-day (as of 2016) the street & the buildings on it seem to have ceased to exist; the church remains, in front of it is a square & car-park which appears to occupy the space once occupied by this street. Pencil-drawing art postcard, done on a standard blank-faced, printed german army "Feldpostkarte";signed P. Busse; & dated 1916. Front with drawing, name/location, & artist's signature with year-date:"Landres." at top left | ||
