Summary

Description
English: Designed by Billington and built as LBSCR 57'7" 9 compartment Brake Third No.641 (SR No.4019) to Diagram 201 (SR Diagram 203) at Ashford in 1916, it was withdrawn by BR in 1948 then rebuilt with steel panelling to Diagram 210 specifically for service in the Isle of Wight, No.S2416. It lasted until the end of steam on the IoW in 1966 and was then preserved. Pictured (with some SECR coaches) at Haven Street, Isle of Wight Steam Railway, 10/00. Scanned photograph taken with a Miranda MS-1N.
