Description
English: Carol-singing men on a square in Ljubljana. One of them holds a bundle of candles on a stand. This kind of candle lantern is known as 'stavnica' in Slovene (see en:Candle-pole).[1] Technique: Copper engraving.
Slovenščina: Janez Vajkard Valvasor. Slika prikazuje kolednike na enem od trgov v Ljubljani (jugovzhodna Gorenjska). Eden od njih v roki drži sveženj sveč na stojalu; temu pravimo stavnica.[1] Bakrorez.
