Summary

Description
English: The King George V memorial gates at the entrance to the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens. The gates, which were established as a memorial to George V who died in 1936, were first opened by former Rockhampton mayor Robert William Evans in 1953. In this 2015 photo, the gates are closed as vehicles were temporarily banned from entering the gardens during the extensive clean-up following Cyclone Marcia.
