Summary

Description This small Bronze Age wedge tomb, found in Lord Massey's Woods in the Dublin Mountains, still has many stones in place but the cairn stone infill has mainly disappeared (most likely used a material for the dry stone wall that runs past the site), leaving just low skeletal remains, which may be why the site was not identified until 1978. It is very similar in layout to the two other wedge tombs in the Dublin Mountains found at Ballyedmonduff and Kilmashogue. As can be seen in the picture, the stones forming the walls of the 4m long gallery are nearly all present as are many of the stones from the outer double walling.
