The hill marked with a "J" is Cleopatra Hill. The site of the United Verde open-pit copper mine, which ceased operations in 1953, is to the right, on the edge of town. Below it, also to the right, is the site of the UVX mine and the mansion of its owner, James Douglas, Jr. The mansion and grounds have become Jerome State Historic Park.
This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: Color balance and contrast adjusted in Photoshop. Modifications made by Finetooth.
