English: Jack's Mill School, Kotuku, Grey District, New Zealand. The school, built around 1910, served the families of local mill workers. Its headmaster Edward Darracott organised the children in the late 1930s to build a garden and a 3/4 scale miniature bungalow as part of a programme of experiential learning. The school closed in 1955. On its gate is a war memorial plaque made from a saw blade, erected in 2006.
