Summary

Description BR(SR) Jarvis rebuild of SR Bulleid "Merchant Navy" (or "MN") Class 4-6-2 No.35028 "Clan Line" in BR lined green livery with 1956 emblem coasting into Bristol Temple Meads with the empty stock of the Bristol-Victoria "Venice Simplon Orient Express Special", 04/12. Although the LMS Stanier "Coronation" Pacifics were, in my opinion, the best express locos aver produced in Britain, I think it is a close run thing whether the rebuilt "MN's" or the LNER Peppercorn "A1" Pacifics were second best. Fans of the "A4's" would disagree, no doubt.
