Description
Skjold, also known as Skjöldr or Scyld Scefing was one of the first Danish kings, according to legend. He is mentioned in several Nordic texts and it was told that he arrived to Denmark as a small boy, lying alone in a boat, or as written in Beowulf, "Puny and frail he was found on the shore."
