Description The flight deck of the Casablanca-class escort carrier Hoggatt Bay (CVE-75) is photographed during heavy seas, 5 December 1945. Onboard are a large amount of passengers, being ferried back to the West Coast as a part of the post-war Operation "Magic Carpet".
