This is a screenshot from the Heartland Institute paper "Is the US Surface Temperature Record Reliable?", authored by Anthony Watts based on data collected by his Surface Stations project. The screenshot depicts an example of the photographs the surface stations project collected and compiled for use in the paper, ostensibly identifying problems with the location of US Climate Network Temperature Stations, such as being close to air conditioners or asphalt.
