Description

A view of the Hardy Dam, a dam and powerplant complex, built 1931, on the Muskegon River in Big Prairie Township, Newaygo County, Michigan.

This image is from location B on the locator map, looking at the powerhouse outlets and the outflow from the turbines into the river. The Croton Dam pond reaches all the way to this dam, there is no natural river flow here. The crane is used to raise and lower control gates for maintenance.
