The foreskin usually covers a flaccid penis and its glans (fully or partially). When the penis starts erecting the foreskin retreats, in most cases behind the glans. It is possible to pull the foreskin until the end of the penis shaft, unhiding the sensitive skin of the penis (in flaccid and erect state); after being released it returns into its normal position.
