English translation:
"Depiction of the golden horn. This horn was found AD 1734 on 21 April near the village of Gallehus, in Schackenborg county, not far from the town of Tønder as a peasant was digging for loam, at nearly the same place where a similar one was found AD 1639. It is made from a doubled gold sheet, the outer one of very fine, the inner of inferior gold. It holds one measure or one mug and weighs 7 pounds and 14 ounces."
