Summary

Description	English: Old photograph of Green Point Common, Cape Town, during the Second Boer War. The area was being used as a transit camp for prisoners of war to be shipped to remote islands. The Mouille Point Lighthouse can be seen in the background and the beginnings of the old Green Point Stadium are visible on the lower righthand side. Afrikaans: ’n Ou foto van die Groenpunt-meent tydens die Tweede Vryheidsoorlog. Die gebied is gebruik as ’n oorgangskamp vir oorlogsgevangenes wat per skip na verafgeleë eilande gestuur is. Die ou Mouillepunt-vuurtoring kan op die agtergrond gesien word, asook die begin van bouwerk aan die ou Groenpunt-stadion regs onder.
