| Description |
English: This image shows Glorieta Mesa, New Mexico, United States. The light cliffs at the top of the mesa are the Permian Glorieta Sandstone. Beneath are red beds of the Yeso Group, and the knoll on top of the mesa is underlain by the San Rosa Formation. There is a thin bed of San Andres Formation above the Glorieta Sandstone and a thin bed of Artesia Group above that, but neither is at all well exposed here. |
