Description
English: The Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. Interior facade. To the right of the gate, the tomb of Pietro Bernardo by Tullio Lombardo. This is one of the last works of Tullio Lombardo in 1524 erected while the senator is still alive, he will die in 1538. The lower part of the monument shows Adam and Eve, an eagle and a Medusa head. The upper part was made after the death of the senator and was commissioned by the son Girolamo and Lorenzo, it dates from 1558. It shows the deceased kneeling before Jesus and St. Peter.

C'est une des dernières réalisations de Tullio Lombardo en 1524 érigée du vivant du sénateur Pietro Bernardo qui ne décédera qu'en 1538. La partie basse du monument montre Adam et Ève, un aigle et une tête de méduse. La partie supérieure est postérieur à la mort du sénateur et a été commandité par ces fils Girolamo et Lorenzo, elle date de 1558, et montre le défunt agenouillé devant Jésus et saint Pierre.
