Description

This shows the first w:Wood Badge training in w:Gilwell Park in September 1919. It shows w:Robert Baden-Powell, one of the trainers, in the centre.

Also included in the picture are Deputy Chief Scout w:Percy Everett, Gilwell Camp Chief w:Francis Gidney and his deputy w:F.S. Morgan, Managing Secretary of w:The Scout Association Major w:A.G. Wade, Scout Commissioner for Gilwell w:P.B. Nevill, and others. There were eighteen participants: Hines, Robson, Berlin, Butler, Bunt, Davies, Wilkinson, Todd, Fay, Kent, Firth, Hammond, Eiffe, Nevill, Phillips, Earle, Baker, Lang.
