English: Fireball (bolide) Geminids -3 mag in Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Science
Русский: Болид илиметеор]] -3 звездной величины из метеорного потока Геминид, снятый в САО. Цифровая камера Canon 20D с объективом Sigma (F = 20mm, f/1.8), ISO=1600, экспозиции по 30 секунд, 6 кадров. Кроп малой части кадра. Поле зрения данной анимации 13 х 7 градусов. Высота болида над математическим горизонтом составляет 40 градусов в направлении на Ю-Ю-З (скопление вверху кадра - это М48). Зеленый цвет левой части болида - это свечение ионизованного кислорода ОII. Светящийся и разлетающийся след после пролета болида - это свечение возбужденных атомов натрия, находящихся в атмосфере на высоте 80−90 км.
