Description
English: Persian Gulf, 22 January 2004: Cdr. Thomas Halley, Commanding Officer for the Marauders of U.S. Navy strike fighter squadron VFA-82, pilots the squadrons McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet "show bird" sporting a brand new paint scheme. The aircraft has its tailhook down in preparation for an arrested landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65). VFA-82 was deployed with Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1) aboard Enterprise conducting missions in support of "Operation Iraqi Freedom" and "Enduring Freedom".
