English: Escort Rock near Eugowra, New South Wales in Australia - The place where the gold escort was held up on 15 June 1862. Frank Gardiner and his gang stole gold-dust and notes to the value of about £14000. Other bushrangers involved were Ben Hall and John Gilbert. It was the only big gold-escort robbery ever carried out in New South Wales. Some of the money was recovered and several of the robbers were arrested.
