English: The fossils of E. praecursor of the collection of the Natural History Museum London. A) Type (holotype) specimen (BMNH In 18425), dorsal view. The pleon is lacking. At the left a small disarticulated chela (sch), the distal part of the merus of the 2nd pereopod, the merus and the proximal part of the carpus of the 3rd pereopod, the basis/ischium, merus, carpus (ca) of the 4th pereopod (p4), and the peduncle of the 2nd antenna (a2) are visible. In the left front there is a part of the carpus (ca) of the left large chela, in the right front, there are two disarticulated podomeres (perhaps basis and ischium) of a pereopod of a smaller specimen (?). At the right, there is an eye (e) close to the rostrum, the peduncle of the 2nd antenna (a2), the carpus (ca) of the right cheliped, and the merus (m) of the 3rd pereopod (p3). B) The ventral side of the type specimen. At the left is the complete right chela (ch) of the 1st pereopod (p1), the fused basis/ischium (bi) and the merus (m) of the 2nd and 3rd pereopods (p2, p3). Note the lateral position of the basal leg segments. This suggests a wide sternum. At the anterior end, there are some segments of a crinoid tentacle (cr). C) Paratype (BMNH In 23091). This rock contains two individuals. In addition to an almost complete carapace, the left specimen shows limb parts of the left body side, namely a putative proximal part of the merus, of the 3rd, the carpus of the 4th (p4), and the coxa of the 5th pereopod (p5). At the right, a small part of the coxa and the basis/ischium or carpus of the 5th pereopod (p5) are preserved. The pleon is largely well preserved and shows five pleomeres with the characteristic 2nd pleomere (pl2), but the posterior end is destroyed. The right individual shows a well preserved carapace and some parts of the limbs. For example, at the left side the merus of the 4th pereopod (p4) is visible, at the right the 1st pereopod (p1) is present with its smashed chela (ch), the carpus (ca) and the merus (m).
