Old Stone Church Cemetery was first laid out in 1719 and by 1723 became the burial ground of the eastern society of Lyme. The cemetery holds the final resting place of many of Lyme's founders including: Calkins, Manwaring, Beebe, Griswold and Tubbs as well as 22 of the town's Revolutionary War Veterans among others Moses Warren surveyor of the Ohio Territory and later judge.
Also the remains of soldiers from French & Indian War (1756-63), War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, War of 1898 and 20th century wars. Cemetery last used in early 1990s. Walls around cemetery are built of stone that once was the Stone Church that stood some 30 yards from the main gate.
