A projection of the orbit of the Moon onto the ecliptic plane, as seen from the geocentre. Also plotted is the "centre of curvature" of the trajectory -- it's the large splotch near the centre -- and the Earth itself, that small circle nearby.
Data for 2006, taken from the JPL DE-405 ephemeris.
