English: Kayan, Afghanistan, 1997 A fountain in the shape of an eagle fighting with a snake is one of the many decorations built in the village. The Valley of Kayan is the cradle of the Ismailis of Afghanistan. Sayed Mansur Naderi, their religious leader builds an extraordinary domain as a tribute to the Legend of the Ismailis' ancestors: the Assassins and their symbol, the Eagle.
