DescriptionDoocot at Elcho - geograph.org.uk - 1280869.jpg
English: Doocot at Elcho This doocot has an attractive setting near to Elcho castle. It dates from the 16th century but has been restored several times and remains in excellent condition. Now no longer in use birds entered through a hole in the domed roof which has now been covered by a perspex panel. It remains open for the public to view the interior with its rows of numerous roosting boxes and interestingly has a double rat course to deter vermin.
