English: BR/Sulzer Type 2 Bo-Bo on Station Pilot at Derby.
No. D7585 was one of the large series of Type 2 (later Class 25) 1,250hp Diesel-electric Bo-Bo's; 327 were built 1961-67 and they proved useful general purpose prime-movers over much of BR, lasting about 20 years. In 1965 they seemed very modern - and boring - at Derby, hitherto the fount of all Midland steam engines, which had puffed around there for generations but were extinguished in the next three years.
