Summary

Description

Ambassador Damour enjoyed hosting friends from the Christian community and beyond to reflect on this Lenten season and the importance of freedom of religion for all. She shared that freedom of religion – including the freedom to celebrate Lent, Passover, or Ramadan -- has been central to the American experience and our nation’s very inception. “Today, and every day, we stand for the rights of all individuals to exercise their freedom of religion or belief in accordance with the dictates of their conscience,” she said.

She wished everyone present a blessed Lenten season and Easter holiday.
