| Description |
English: Last time I was here the light was in a really bad need of paint. The owner of the land purchased it and now it looks great, he owns the building but the Coast Guard is responsible for the light.
This light is also know as French or Pleasant Point Lighthouse and was built and lit in 1904. This is the rear light was placed on a knoll. After the front light was built offshore on Shag Ledge, the lights didn't range properly. The solution was to raise the rear light 3.7 meters (12.14ft) thus making it the only light of this configuration in Nova Scotia. This lighthouse is now privately owned and in great condition.
