Description
English: Rear Admiral Atul Anand, Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra Naval Area laid a floral wreath at Gaurav Stambh in Naval Dockyard, Mumbai on the occasion of Vijay Diwas. Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 16 December each year to commemorate the decisive victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in the 1971 War that led to the creation of Bangladesh. A two-minute silence was also observed on the occasion as a mark of respect towards Armed Forces personnel that made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.
