English: A composite image of part of File:Excavation at Uriconium by Francis Bedford.jpg (a PD image – making up the right half of this image) and part of the restored version File:Excavation at Uriconium by Francis Bedford2.jpg (by User:Durova – left half of this image). The top half displays the two images as seen, the bottom half displays the same images with saturation increased by 100% three times in GIMP to show the colour noise. Used to demonstrate the emphasis of chroma noise in the restored version, as explained at WP:Featured picture candidates/Viroconium Cornoviorum excavation. Best viewed at 100%. |
