This postcard illustrates the elaborate 'dazzle camouflage' costumes worn at the famous 'Dazzle Ball' held at the Chelsea Arts Club in 1919, when memories of the First World War were very fresh in people's minds. The event notably influenced fashion in succeeding decades. Since no non-free image is known, the use of this historic postcard at the lowest possible resolution is considered fair usage to illustrate the discussion of the influence of Military Camouflage on fashion and art in the twentieth century.
