DescriptionCeriops australis shrubland Nudgee Creek Nudgee Beach Bramble Bay Queensland P1280502.jpg
English: The shrubby yellow mangrove (Ceriops australis) reaches the southern extent of its range in Moreton Bay, Queensland, of which Bramble Bay is a part. It does not tolerate strong wave action, high winds or strong currents, but prefers drier sites, with high salinity on the landward side of the coastal mangrove strip and bordering salt pans. Yellow mangrove grows as shrub communities interspersed with emergent grey mangroves (Avicennia marina) along Nudgee Creek.
