Español: Caño Cristales es un río de Colombia que está ubicado en la sierra de la Macarena, en el departamento del Meta. Ha sido denominado el río de los cinco colores, el arco iris que se derritió o también el río más hermoso del mundo, ya que en su fondo se reproducen plantas acuaticas que corresponden a la especie Macarenia clavigera de la familia de Podostemaceae, de principalmente cinco colores: rojo, amarillo, verde, azul y negro.
English: Caño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta. The river is commonly called the River of Five Colors or the Liquid Rainbow, and is even referred to as the most beautiful river in the world due to its striking colors. The bed of river in the end of July through November is variously colored yellow, green, blue, black, and especially red, the last caused by the Macarenia clavigera (Podostemaceae) on the bottom of the river.

Communément surnommée rivière aux cinq couleurs, l'arc-en-ciel liquide ou encore la plus belle rivière du monde elle doit son aspect multicolore ( principalement rouge , jaune, bleu, vert et noir) à la présence de plantes aquatiques plus ou moins thallophytes, les macarenia clavigera, de la famille des podostemaceae.
