English: An ancient roman inscription discovered in 1793 in Graveson (Provence), now in Musée Calvet, Avignon, France (Inventory number f101). It is carved from marble in the form of an altar. The inscription reads "C(aio) Otacilio, C(aii) f(ilio), Vol(tinia tribu) / Oppiano, IIIIuir(o)." In English: "To Caius Otacilius Oppianus, son of Caius, enrolled in the tribe Voltinia, quattuorvir." In the center of the stone is a depiction of a curule chair and the fasces.
Français : Inscription latine d'époque romaine découverte en 1793 à Graveson et conservé au Musée Calvet (Musée lapidaire) à Avignon (France). Il s'agit d'un cippe de marbre blanc ayant la forme d'un autel. Il porte l'inscription latine "C(aio) Otacilio, C(aii) f(ilio), Vol(tinia tribu) / Oppiano, IIIIuir(o)." Traduction française : "À Caius Otacilius Oppianus, fils de Caius, inscrit dans la tribu Voltinia, quattuorvir."
