A photo of an exuberant LtCol Harold W. Bauer as he demonstrates his technique to two ground crewmen. Intensely competitive, and known as "the Coach," Bauer was one of several Marine Corps aviators who received the Medal of Honor, albeit posthumously, at Guadalcanal, 1942 with the Cactus Air Force.
