Description
English: A three quarter view of WAGR C class steam locomotive no. 1, on display at the Perth railway station, together with WAGR V class locomotive no. 1224 (just visible at right), then the latest, and the last, steam locomotive to be built for the WAGR.

The information in the caption above and in the date description below is obtained from Gray, Bill (2010). Guide to the collection The Railway Museum Western Australia. Bassendean: Australian Railway Historical Society (Western Australian Division), p. 8. ISBN 9780980392234.

In the background of the picture is the Boans department store (since demolished), and behind that, at right, is part of the General Post Office.
