English: The Bunker Touch Guitar a double neck stringed musical instrument designed to be played exclusively by touch or tapping, was originally called the DuoLectar, as seen here (U.S. Patent #2,989,884 granted in 1961). The DuoLectar is the second patented stringed instrument in America. In 1960, it was the first double neck, and/or single neck touch/tapping instrument to be performed nationally on the TV show Ozark Jubilee.
The dual neck DuoLectar Touch Guitar built by Dave Bunker in the late 1950s, was eventually awarded seven U.S. patents. These electronic muted instruments were internationally known after 1994 as Bunker Touch Guitars. (Photo taken by Dave Bunker.)
