Afrikaans: Groeivorm van 'n Gifbol in 'n vlak substraat van verweerde graniet, 1650 m bo seespieël naby Dewetsnek teen die noordhelling van die Magaliesberg, Skeerpoort, Noordwes. Die spesienaam disticha verwys na die distigiese blaarstand of fillotaksie – die blare word aldus in twee teenoorstaande rye voortgebring. Die groot bol is halfweg bogronds.
English: Habit of Century plant growing in a shallow sandy substrate of weathered granite, at 1,650 m a.s.l. on the northern slope of the Magaliesberg near Dewetsnek, Skeerpoort, North West. The species name disticha relates to the distichousphyllotaxis, meaning that its leaves are formed in two opposing rows. The large bulb is typically semi-exposed.
