DescriptionBlackfriars Station, looking south geograph-3262651-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Blackfriars Station, looking south across to Blackfriars Junction, 1989.
View south from Platforms 3/4: ex-SE&C station. Berthed on the left at (terminal) Platform 3 is a 4-EPB EMU, while approaching is a new Class 319 dual-voltage EMU arriving on one of Thames-Link services introduced in May 1988, about to call at Platform 5 on its way northward through the reopened Snow Hill tunnel. A short way ahead the lines to Elephant & Castle, Herne Hill etc. go straight on and those to Metropolitan Junction, London Bridge etc. turn left.
