Image Description: Reproduction of a scaled-down 1821 engraving of an Indian ink drawing by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, who copied from original image made in 1669 by an unknown artist in the employ of Cosmo the Third, Grand Duke of Tuscany, who toured in England at that time and published an illustrated manuscript of his travels which was deposited in the Laurentian Library, Florence, Italy.[1]

This engraving of Shepherd's Indian ink copy appeared in the English translation:
