English: Bedwas and Trethomas War Memorial. Located in front on the council offices on Newport Road, Bedwas. The Memorial is a tall stone pillar standing on a three-stepped plinth. The names of the men from Bedwas and Trethomas who gave their lives in The Great War (1914-1918) are inscribed on the stone. Names from the Second World War are on a separate tablet in the form of an open book, lying against the foot of the pillar.
