Português: Em 17 de dezembro de 1963 o Presidente da República João Belchior Marques Goulart deveria visitar Bagé, para inaugurar a nova adutora, destinada a ampliar o sistema de abastecimento de água. Na oportunidade seria inaugurada uma placa alusiva, na Hidráulica Municipal. Exercia as funções de Diretor Geral da Prefeitura Municipal o Prof. Boaventura Mielle da Rosa, que entendeu se devesse utilizar um símbolo municipal para o descerramento da placa.
Dr. Tarcísio Taborda como idealizador do Brasão de Bagé, foi consultado e sugeriu que se ampliasse esse emblema sobre um retângulo irregular de cor branca, formando, assim, uma bandeira. Coube a Sapiran Brito confeccionar essa primeira bandeira de Bagé.English: On December 17, 1963, the President of the Republic João Belchior Marques Goulart was supposed to visit Bagé, to inaugurate the new pipeline, designed to expand the water supply system. In the opportunity, a sign would be inaugurated at the Municipal Hydraulics. Exercised the functions of Director General of the City Hall Boaventura Mielle da Rosa, who understood if a municipal symbol should be used to unveil the plaque.
Dr. Tarcísio Taborda, as the creator of the Coat of Bagé, was consulted and suggested that the emblem be enlarged over an irregular white rectangle, thus forming a flag. It was up to Sapiran Brito to make that first Bagé flag. |
